Our motivation

Why Brave Body Lab?

Many teenagers feel nervous before a doctor's visit. Some do not know what to expect. Some do not know how to describe how they feel. Brave Body Lab was created to change that.

The problem

Health information is often written for adults, in language that is hard to follow. That can make a normal appointment feel confusing or intimidating. When you do not know what will happen, it is harder to ask questions and harder to say how you actually feel.

No statistic about teen healthcare anxiety is shown here. A number will only be added once it is located and cited from an official source.

Our approach

  • Education, not diagnosis

Lessons explain how the body works. Nothing here diagnoses, treats, or advises.

  • Confidence, not fear

Calm language, no alarming imagery, and space to learn at your own pace.

  • Sourced, then reviewed

Every fact is traced to an official source page, and still waits on human medical review.

  • Anonymous by design

No accounts, no names, no email. Progress stays in your own browser.

What makes this project different

Brave Body Lab is free, anonymous, teen-made, and non-diagnostic. It is a school research project, not a clinic and not a health service.
